As there is no industry standard for used golf ball grading Golf Balls International have provided this guide,
to allow you to understand grading terms.
Golf Balls International Grade : Refinished Golf Balls
Grade Refinished golf balls: are processed from the finest quality lake ball and have to pass a 7 stage inspection process.
These Balls unlike many other refinished balls are refinished by a leading golf ball manufacturer in the USA.
The refinishing entails sand blasting the balls to remove the original paint and markings, they are then repainted, reprinted and finally clear coated.
This process ensures that the physical properties of the golf ball are maintained as closely as possible to the manufacturers original specification
DO NOT confuse these ball with refurbished balls which are just lake balls that have been simply washed and clear coated.
Golf Balls International Grade : PEARL
Grade PEARL : So named that when the first divers started to recover golf balls from the lakes in the USA. They were so surprised to see new balls in the lakes they felt they were discovering Pearls. These golf balls will have only played a few holes before being rescued from the lakes. Balls may have logos.
Golf Balls International Grade : GRADE A (Sometimes called AAA)
Grade A: These golf balls will have minor blemishes or ink marks & can also have logos.Pro V1 however may have minor paint blemishes.
Golf Balls International Grade : B
Grade B: (Sometimes called AA)These balls although perfectly playable, they can be discoloured and have small scuff marks.

Practice Grade:C Ideal balls for the low handicapper for practice but perfectly playable for the high handicappers. |
